Notifications
A real-time in-app feed, push notifications on web, Android and iOS, per-user opt-out, and admin broadcasts.
NSupport Platform keeps you informed through in-app notifications (a real-time feed inside the app) and push notifications (delivered to your device even when the app is closed).
In-app notifications
The Notifications screen (/notifications) lists everything relevant to
you, newest first, updating in real time - no refresh needed. Click a
notification to jump straight to the related case or announcement.
Typical notifications include:
| Event | You're notified when… |
|---|---|
| Case created | a new case is filed in your area (staff, for triage) |
| Case assigned | a case is assigned to you |
| Status changed | a case you're involved in moves to a new status |
| New comment | someone comments on a case you're involved in |
| Announcement published | a new service announcement goes live |
All notifications respect your role's visibility rules - you're never notified about something you couldn't open.
Push notifications
Push delivers alerts to your web browser and the Android and iOS apps. When you first sign in you may be asked to allow notifications.
- Enable or disable push per user from your account - it's an opt-out, in-app notifications keep working regardless.
- Push is per device: enable it on each device where you want alerts.
- When you sign out, that device stops receiving push.
Broadcast push
Admins and Owners can send a broadcast push - a title and message delivered to everyone in the workspace who has push enabled. Use it for urgent, must-reach-everyone situations (e.g. "Platform maintenance Saturday 09:00–12:00"). It lives in the admin panel. Users who opted out of push won't receive it.
